Angelina Jolie took her darling two-year-old twins, Knox and Vivienne, with her on a location scout today in Budapest for her upcoming directorial debut.

Jolie's been in Europe promoting her starring turn in Salt with the twins while Brad stays home with the rest of their brood.

But soon the entire family will move to the Hungarian city dubbed the "Paris of the East" when shooting starts on the film in November (some will also be shot in Belgrade, Serbia.)

Angelina was apparently inspired to shoot this story after visiting refugee camps in Bosnia with Brad this spring.

SARAJEVO — Hollywood star Angelina Jolie called on Bosnian leaders to speed up the return of thousands of refugees from the brutal 1990s civil war as she made a surprise visit to Sarajevo on Saturday.
"I hope that there'll soon be practical steps to improve these people's lives," Jolie was quoted as saying in a statement released by the UNHCR, the United Nations refugee agency.
Jolie -- whose visit coincides with the release in Europe of her new spy thriller "Salt" -- is a UNHCR goodwill ambassador and last visited Bosnia Hercegovina in April with her husband, movie heartthrob Brad Pitt.
She hailed the adoption by the Bosnian parliament in June of a new strategy for returning all internally displaced people in the country by 2014, the UNHCR said.
"The political leaders have shown a spirit of compromise in getting this far. Now it needs a little more urgency," added Jolie.
Jolie also met the Muslim and Croat representatives of Bosnia's tripartite presidency, Haris Silajdzic and Zeljko Komsic, to discuss the refugee issue, Silajdzic's cabinet said in a statement.
The 1992-1995 war left 100,000 people dead and 2.2 million refugees and displaced persons in Bosnia. Some 113,000 people are still displaced or unable to return to their homes, according to the UNHCR.
Jolie, who arrived in Sarajevo on a private jet from Budapest on Friday, was later due to meet Bosnian film producers about a possible film on the Bosnian war which she would direct and star in, national radio said.

I don't know what I was expecting but I got a real professional. She was focused and interested in the details of how things worked and looking at it through a spy's eye."
Melissa revealed: "I was shot at - but it doesn't happen every day. If every day was like a day in Salt's life, I'd be dead.
Melissa believes that Angelina's mastery of her role can help to recruit a new generation of hotshot CIA officers. She says: "Angelina puts a very good face on what it means to be a spy. U.S. actress Angelina Jolie, awaited by dozens of journalists during the whole day today in Croatia, where he was to visit a summer theater, landed in Bosnia, the Balkan country which had come in April, an official said.

"Angelina Jolie had arrived at Sarajevo airport at 17H30 (15H30) GMT, aboard a private plane," he told AFP an official of the Bosnian border police.

The official could not say whether the actress was alone or accompanied.

According to the online edition of the Bosnian newspaper Dnevni Avaz, Jolie is accompanied by two of their children. The paper adds that there are no plans to spend the night in the Bosnian capital.

Dozens of reporters and photographers waited since the morning of Friday in Croatian Pula airport (west) and on the islands of Brijuni, in the northern Croatian Adriatic coast, where he was visiting a summer theater international Ulysses, directed by a famous local actor, Rade Serbedzija.

Said Ulysses Theatre in the late afternoon "regretted" the cancellation of Angelina Jolie's visit due to a significant presence of the press, according to the online edition of Croatian daily Jutarnji List.

According to Croatian press, the Hollywood star wants to hire Serbedzija in a film she directed and which would play a Bosnian woman raped during the Bosnian war (1992-95).

The "Tomb Raider" star frequently gives away money to help others - she donated $1 million to Doctors Without Borders to help earthquake survivors in Haiti earlier this year, as well as handing over $75,000 to build a girls school in Afghanistan.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s children are learning French.

The Hollywood couple – who raise children Maddox, nine, Pax, six, Zahara, five, Shiloh, four, and two-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne, together – are keen for their offspring to embrace the European language to help them understand why the country is important to their family.

Angelina – whose late mother Marcheline Bertrand was of French Canadian descent – explained to BANG Showbiz, Right now they’re in the French programme and they’re doing very well. We want them to learn French and speak French because of our heritage.”

As well as Angelina’s beloved mother, France is special to the couple for other reasons, and was chosen to be the birthplace of their twin babies Knox and Vivienne.

The 35-year-old beauty gave birth to the tots at the Lenval hospital in nice, France in 2008.

Angelina was speaking at the gala premiere of ‘Salt’ at the Empire Cinema in London’s Leicester Square last night, August 16, where she looked stunning as she greeted hundreds of screaming fans.

She said, “I always enjoy London and this is amazing. It means so much when everybody comes out.”

The screen beauty also revealed she had brought her two youngest children with her while Brad looked after the eldest four at home.

At Monday's London premiere of Salt, Angelina Jolie admitted to UsMagazine.com that her kids with Brad Pitt love to play with blood -- the fake, behind-the-scenes kind, that is.

Jolie, 35, explained that her kids -- including Maddox, 8, Pax, 6, Zahara, 5 and Shiloh, 4 -- would often come with her on the set of action thriller. "I would bring them in early in the mornings...and I'd let them [use] blood," she said.

"So we play together, they try on my wigs, they play with the blood," the mother of six told Us.

But don't worry, she insisted. "They know it's all silly! They test the harnesses and we have them flying around. They know what it is."

Not that Jolie didn't shed any real blood while making the intense action flick. "I have a little scar right here," she admitted, pointing to the front of her scalp, describing how she "went smack into a table" during an gun-shooting sequence. "It was a little embarrassing."

Were Shiloh and the gang in London for the big night? Just "the babies," Jolie told Us of twins Vivienne and Knox, 2. "I'm having some special baby time."

The star also lent some insight into how she and Brad Pitt co-parent. "We're very much a united front," she told Us. "They can't get Mommy to do something Daddy wouldn't. We're very much the same. But we take turns working and we bring the kids to each other's sets, so we try to stay together."

Jolie showed up to the photo call wearing a low-cut, glittering number that also showed off her legs.

Angelina Jolie is hoping to bring awareness and support to Pakistan’s flood victims.

The floods have already displaced nearly 20 million residents but has not received as much media attention as the Haitian earthquake.

“It is getting hard for people — they see Haiti, they see these other events … and they get exhausted by the time another big one rolls around,” Angelina said (via THR).

Pakistanis deal with “mass death, mass displacement,” she added, “and this situation is going to get worse.”

Ang added that she may visit Pakistan when “the cameras go away”.

Angelina talks 'Salt' sequel!

All "Salt" was missing at its twisty end was a "To Be Continued" graphic.

Angelina Jolie's spy thriller was engineered for a sequel. Its main storyline came to a close with the titular hero out of immediate danger and setting off on a new quest for revenge. And "Salt" performed admirably against "Inception" earlier this summer, opening to $36 million in ticket sales. Now there's been some tentative movement on a second film.

Jolie is keeping her fingers crossed that everything works out. "I hope so, for everybody — if they want to see more of Salt," she said at the film's London premiere on Monday (August 16), according to the Press Association. "I love doing action. I love to punch things, jump off things and shoot, so I'm lucky I got the job."

But Sony is said to be waiting to see how "Salt" performs internationally before the studio commits to backing a sequel, the Los Angeles Times reports. Director Phillip Noyce has been reported as interested in reprising his directing duties, and writer Kurt Wimmer is said to be developing ideas to continue the story.

Jolie hasn't yet lined up her next project. "The Tourist" is now behind her and other projects, like the Tim Burton flick, "Maleficent," are not yet ready to ramp up. But from what she's been saying, it seems that she's eager to return to "Salt" territory.

"The other action films I did are based on fantasy while this character is based on reality so we had to make her tougher and meaner," she said. "Salt fights aggressively, in face-to-face combat. In some movies I've done, there's been a temptation — because I'm female — to make the action nice."

"Unfortunately a lot of people are feeling that donor fatigue that they feel with so many crises and so many situations around the world. I think that as people completely understand the scale of it they will do more," said the actress and UN goodwill ambassador.

Up to 20 million people have been affected by the floods which have swept across a quarter of the country and 2,000 have been left dead, say officials.

Aid agencies have blamed Pakistan's poor image for the shortfall in donations. Jolie insists there is no quick solution.

"This is going to be something that goes on for a very, very long time. They're going to be displaced for a very long time. The cholorea outbreak could be very serious, so many children could die. It may get worse before it gets better," she said.

Pakistan's High Commissioner to Britain has said it could take up to five years and $15bn for the country to recover.

BRAD Pitt and Angelina Jolie will launch a clothing collection based on their children's fashion styles, the Mail on Sunday reported.

The proceeds will go to the Jolie-Pitt Foundation, which supports humanitarian causes throughout the world, according to the newspaper.

Pitt was already attending meetings in Italy to complete the deal, which will set up a line following the trends set by the oldest four of the couple’s six children - nine-year-old Maddox, six-year-old Pax, five-year-old Zahara and Shiloh, four.

MARILYN Monroe fans are in shock after it was announced that Angelina Jolie will portray Hollywood’s most famous blonde bombshell on the big screen.

Jolie, a slim brunette, beat more obvious contenders like the Monroe-esque actress Scarlett Johansson and voluptuous American TV star Christina Hendricks to the role in the movie, which will also feature George Clooney as Frank Sinatra.

Scottish author Andrew O’Hagan announced that his latest novel, The Life and Opinions of Maf the Dog, and of His Friend Marilyn Monroe, would be made into a Hollywood film starring the two actors.

The book tells the story of Monroe’s last two years through the eyes of her pet Maf, a gift from Sinatra in 1960.

According to Mr O’Hagan, Maf had an instinct for politics, psychoanalysis, literature and interior decoration.

The novel catalogues not just the life of the actress, but also some of the defining moments of the 20th century.

Mr O’Hagan, speaking at the Edinburgh International Book Festival, confirmed that Clooney and Jolie were cast and that production would begin soon.

The news came as Jolie prepared to premiere her latest movie, Salt, on Monday in the UK, in which she stars as a KGB sleeper agent who goes on the run to clear her name.

Angelina Jolie stuns the crowd at the Japan premiere of her new spy thriller Salt held at the Tokyo International Forum on Tuesday (July 27) in Tokyo.

The 35-year-old actress wore a sexy open-back long black dress from Versace complete with a leg slit. She accessorized with Gucci shoes and her own earrings!

Earlier in the day, Angie greeted fans at the photo call held at the Grand Hyatt.

The 35-year-old actress was joined on stage by Japanese actress Meisa Kuroki, who is the the current Japanese representative for Giorgio Armani.

Yesterday, Angie arrived at Japan’s Narita airport with her four oldest kids — Maddox, 8, Pax, 6, Zahara, 5 and Shiloh, 4.

Angelina Jolie and her four oldest kids — Maddox, 8, Pax, 6, Zahara, 5 and Shiloh, 4 — look like one big family as they hold hands and travel through Japan’s Narita International Airport on Monday morning (July 26).

The 35-year-old actress was also accompanied by Holly Goline, who has been her personal assistant for about a decade. Holly totes around Angie’s Ferragamo grey leather tote with gold metal handles.

Russia "Salt" premiere

Angelina Jolie is red hot in a Versace gown at Russia’s premiere of her feature film Salt, in Moscow, Russia, on Sunday (July 25).

The 35-year-old actress helped earn Salt #2 at the box office this weekend, raking in $36.5 million (much bigger debuts than Tom Cruise’s Knight and Day, Matt Damon’s The Green Zone, and Russell Crowe’s Robin Hood).

Leonardo DiCaprio’s Inception was #1 this weekend, with box office sales reaching an estimated $43.5 million.

Russia 'Salt' Photo Call!

The 35-year-old actress arrived in town for the Russia premiere of her feature film Salt, which has been battling for #1 at the box office this weekend with Inception. On Friday, the Christopher Nolan-directed Inception pulled in $13.2 million during its second week out while the Phillip Noyce-directed Salt raked in $12.7 million during its first.

Angelina Jolie chats with Comic-Con visitors about her Salt character, Evelyn Salt, in a panel on Thursday (July 22).

“There’s a part of her that’s not necessarily a good guy, and because of certain things that happened to her, she’s a bit damaged,” Angie said. “She’s not just heroic. She’s not even. She’s not just brave. There’s something a little off about her, and maybe there’s something off about me.”



“It’s so unusual to find a great character,” Angie continued. “Her history and her childhood feeds into a lot of who she is and you get to meet her as a child, which is is played by wonderful actors….We all did the character together.”
